Your Questions, Answered

  • Happy Finch classes are designed with all levels in mind, so you’re always welcome. We recommend browsing our class descriptions and choosing the one that feels right for you. Whether you prefer unheated or heated, slow and gentle flows, or an energizing power hour – our thoughtful “Charm” of teachers will be there to support you.

Disclaimer: Participants should consult a physician before beginning any yoga program, and notify their instructor of any injuries, illness, or other concerns. As with any of our classes, please consult your healthcare provider before starting a new exercise or wellness program. Participants practice at their own risk.

  • In any Happy Finch class, we encourage you to listen to your body – you know yourself best. Take breaks whenever you need them, whether resting in a comfortable posture or stepping out of the room. Arrive 5–10 minutes early to acclimate to the temperature, and be sure to hydrate before and after class. If you feel light-headed, discontinue the practice and take a break.

  • Nope! Heat levels are listed on the schedule, so you can choose what feels best for you.

  • Yes! To make sure you have a spot, we strongly encourage signing up before class. All participants also need to complete an activity waiver, and signing up ahead gives us time to process your paperwork and get you set up in the system – smooth flying all around!

  • We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before class begins so you have time to kick off your shoes, settle in, and get comfortable on your mat. For safety, doors are locked at the time the class begins – late arrivals aren’t accepted, and purchases are non-refundable.

  • Yes! A few simple things make class better for everyone:

    • Please enter the studio fragrance-free.

    • Please leave phones in the lobby, and turn off smart watch notifications

    • We love that our studio is fun and friendly! Please feel free to say hi to your fellow finches as you settle onto your mat. Once class begins, move mindfully and quietly through your practice.

    • No shoes may be worn in the primary yoga studio or The Nest.

    • Return any used props to the shelves in the back room for cleaning.

  • Anything that feels free and comfortable to move in. Breathable and/or water-wicking fabrics are helpful.

  • We encourage you to bring your own mat, but we do have a few available to lend if you forget yours.

  • Meditation may seem overwhelming, and that’s okay. Remember: meditation is just noticing without judgment. If your mind is busy, that’s totally normal! Simply observe your thoughts and return to your focus. With time and practice, it gets easier, and you’ll discover what works best for you.

  • Absolutely! The Nest is here for you, even outside of scheduled classes. With varying open hours (updated regularly by the Happy Finch team), it’s a safe space to meditate, practice pranayama, sit in stillness, or simply be. Everyone is welcome.

  • We’re excited to introduce our Merch Perch – a cozy spot for drinks, light snacks, Happy Finch merch, and yoga reads! You can pay on-site using the Stripe Self-Service Kiosk before or after class, and a HFY instructor is always happy to help if you have questions.

  • We love our cozy studio, but that also means class sizes are limited. To give everyone a chance to practice, please cancel your booking at least 2 hours before class. Cancellations within 2 hours are considered late: unlimited members will incur a $10 fee; class pack holders and drop-in purchases will forfeit that class.

For safety, doors are locked at the time the class begins – late arrivals aren’t accepted, and purchases are non-refundable.

  • All memberships are month-to-month and auto-renew. To cancel, please submit a written request at least 30 days before your next payment to info@happyfinchyoga.com with the title “Cancel My Membership”. Requests received within 30 days of your next payment will be processed for the following month. After cancellation, any discounted monthly rates (e.g., Founding Membership, exclusive holiday deals, etc.) will no longer apply.

If you just need a break, you can pause your membership for up to 60 days once per 365 days, also with 30 days’ notice. Memberships will otherwise auto-renew monthly.

To pause or cancel, please email info@happyfinchyoga.com

Memberships are not eligible for refunds.
